Closing of a Chapter
Hello, I hope your summer is going well. This post will be short, as our family has an announcement to make. In July, we officially resigned from serving at Ninawachi Missions Institute, and we ended our partnership with CPE and Inca Link. In January, God invited us into prayer over our future at Ninawachi, as we noticed our funding was depleting. As a fleece (Judges 6:36-40), we prayed over our finances, asking God to move and submitting ourselves before Him. God has been and continues to be faithful at answering our prayers and guiding our steps. We confidently feel He has closed our season of serving as missionaries at Ninawachi.
While we are saying goodbye to missions in Ecuador, we are not "retiring" from missions. God has given Gideon and I a heart for missions, he has not taken this desire and calling away from us. We are humbled and grateful God wanted us to be apart of the work He is doing in the jungle region of Ecuador. We learned a lot, grew individually, in our marriage, & as a family, and God deepened our faith and trust in Him. Nothing has been wasted and nothing has been a failure. God's ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).
For monthly financial supporters, we first want to say a big THANK YOU for supporting our family in this capacity, for saying "yes" to God's ask of you; for stepping out in faith yourself. What a blessing it is when we obey our Father. We ask that if you support us through CPE or Inca Link, that you end support immediately, do not send for the month of August. Thank you to those who have prayed in any capacity, we have first hand seen the power of prayer & the importance of it. We are excited to see what God has for us next but in the meantime, we are looking forward to some rest and time with family.

A toucan flew into our living room window one morning. We never saw one before, and it ended up coming right to us. How fun!
Our last week at Ninawachi, we went on a hike to a waterfall about 2 miles behind the school's property. We went with Wilmer, Pedro, and Marilou, it was a perfect afternoon.
